this is not a goodbye...

honestly I feel like these last 5 years have been a wild ride, from heartbreak and a depression to releasing in rhythm games but I feel like it's time to move on with other projects and other sounds as well

I originally envisioned yumiyacchi as a way to cope with a heartbreak and to move on into a more "happier" sound, but it felt not personal at some point. "This guy isn't me" I told myself around 2019, then SEVEN's CODE arrived. I wanna say that I am ever so grateful to Naoki Maeda for giving me the chance to feature in SEVEN's CODE, a dream that I chased since I was a teenager with a guitar and a feat that no one else here has done before...

Then the real question was: "How do I top this?" People weren't gonna set for anything else but something that was miles better than that. At the same time, I felt like no one would believe me if I said "Hey, I'm yumiyacchi" or that "This achievement doesn't belong to me". Impostor's syndrome at it's best.

I have been releasing things here and there since but honestly I've been growing tired of the project, so this is my way of giving it closure to a huge episode of my life.

No, I am not retiring from music. Just yumiyacchi is gone. He's no more.

I'm hoping I'll come back different but for now I'll be taking a huge rest, but I am tremedously grateful for all the love you have given me. I am nothing without music and now I have to learn how to live without it, and that's an answer that I haven't found yet.
